The concept of this project was inspired by Asian architecture. We created the interior design of ASIA Restaurant in the spirit of Zen philosophy, based on the idea of harmony and balance, tranquility and perfection.
We relied on authentic materials: wood, rattan, stone, natural earth tones. Open spaces and natural light are key to the interior design. A strong visual element are the translucent surfaces, which are associated with the Far Eastern light Shoji screens – an essential element of the design of Japanese homes. In the interior, this element is interpreted in shelves, screens, even in the backrests of chairs.
The balance is built with contrasts of rounded shapes and clean geometric lines, which achieves harmony and an intuitive sense of comfort. The black silhouettes of the selected furniture create linear contrasts that are standing with elegant graphicity in the space and seem to replicate the touches of images on the Chinese porcelain.
The color accent of the ceiling is impressive – Asian-style wallpaper with typical motifs, and downwards the interior story is calm, harmonious and stylish.
Another strong design technique is the composition of 110 rattan lighting fixtures, which create a spectacular finish of the interior composition.
A screen with live Bonsai tree, lanterns, sketches of traditional landscapes, Chinese porcelain with a fine drawing of hieroglyphs, exotic birds and bamboo finish this poetic and at the same time modern interior picture.
